Thekua, or Khabauni, or Khajuria, is a dry sweet, and can be preserved for around one month. It can be made by either Ata (Wheat flour) or Maida. Although I did different research and I can make Thekua with Suji, Oat, or Rice Flour too. It can be made either in Ghee or in refined oil as well.
In fact Thekua is quite popular as the Prasad of the Chhath Puja, one of the most popular puja in Bihar. To be very honest, Thekua has been used as a snack for decades in eastern region of India.
