Talking about Mughlai Paratha, in Kolkata, every foodie has his own favorite food joint. Some make the paratha thin, while others fill it up with generous stuffing and of course the accompanying potato curry differs in taste. But if there is one place which is known to everyone, at least by name, it is Anadi Cabin in Esplanade.
The small eatery at the S N Banerjee Road -Esplanade crossing is probably known more for it being famous like many other similar quirky institutions in Kolkata than actually for its food. Well, it may not be actually!! The connoisseurs swear by the taste of its Moghlai Parota a typical Kolkata street food, which probably has nothing to do with Mughals and everything to do with locals’ love for deep fried snacks. This parota filled with egg, crumbs, – heavy, greasy and deep fried is eaten with Alur Dom. The dish is certainly not for those who believe in low oil and lower calories but for once you can leave aside those worries to grab Moghlai Parota, made famous by this small cabin.
